“We would not have our kitchen if it wasn’t for Jayme Meyer!
It’s true. My husband and I talked about remodeling our kitchen for months. Years. We had our contractor come out several times to talk about ideas. Then we would put the “kitchen project” on the backburner again. The contractor would say “Just let me know what you want, and we can get things started.” I had an idea of what I wanted to do but getting things on paper was the problem. I didn’t know where to even start with such a huge (and expensive) project like a kitchen remodel. I thought I would have time. I thought I could do a few “Pinterest searches.” I was wrong! The whole process seemed very overwhelming. The contractor suggested we give Jayme a call, and from that point on our ideas made it to paper and tangible samples. She was really the spark that got the kitchen project ignited.
Jayme arrived, and we walked around the space. She was so energetic and interested in the project and what we had in mind. We have a large family of 7, so we needed a space that would not only accommodate family meals and entertaining, but a well-thought out plan for daily life. I showed Jayme some of my ideas I saved from Pinterest and Houzz, and she came up with a plan that would work.
She came back for a second visit with a drawing and some samples. We talked about layout, types of flooring and tiles, even lighting details. She pointed out some things in the kitchen plan that I didn’t even think about. Outlets, cutting boards, pantry storage, display areas, etc. We worked together to come up with a plan that we really liked. She was so accommodating and open to any suggestions. Truth be told, I was nervous about working with a “fancy designer” but Jayme really made me feel comfortable and confident in the design decisions that we made. I remember her saying “It’s your kitchen, it’s important that you love it.” She was right!
Our kitchen project was completed in the fall and I am not exaggerating when I say that almost every night after dinner, or after we have had friends over, we always comment about how happy we are with the kitchen and how thankful we are for having a great contractor and Jayme as our designer. The kitchen has really made our house feel like a new home for our busy family.”
